This 2-day Paediatric First Aid course aims to provide first aid knowledge and practical guidance for Childminders, Nursery and School staff (Foundation Stage) and anyone who is in an environment with infants and children up to 8 years old that require a more in-depth course.
This course will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills needed to give effective first aid until emergency services arrive. Practical sessions will give the participant the confidence to deal with a variety of emergencies.
This course complies with OFSTED National Standards relating to First Aid for people working with children and infants and Sure Start requirements for the department for children and families Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
All candidates will be continually assessed during the course and will be expected to pass two multiple-choice tests and will need to achieve a pass rate of 75%.
There are also a number of practical assessments including CPR, treating an unconscious patient and wounds & bleeding
This two day class can be held during the week or on a weekend, scheduled to suit your requirements.
On special request, this course can also be arranged over four evenings.
