This 1 day AILS course provides Health Care workers with a broader knowledge and in-depth practical skills in BLS using a variety of resuscitation equipment.
Attendees will be taught more advanced skills in resuscitation based around a mental health environment. This takes Basic Life Support to a new level teaching staff to maintain an airway using various adjuncts and appropriate suctioning, ventilating a patient using a bag-valve-mask and oxygen therapy to enhance the rate of survival.
CPR skills with the use of the AED will be perfected and appropriate scenarios will provide plenty of practical experience at handling a resuscitation.
This course is ideally suited for Ward Doctors, RMS’s; RMLD’s, RGN’s and Senior Healthcare Assistants within a Mental Health Unit where no resuscitation drugs are available.
This course has been strictly developed in line with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines 2021 and all trainers are Members of the Resuscitation Council and experienced resuscitation trainers.
