Child and Infant Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED Awareness

This 3 hour CPR and AED course provide knowledge and practical skills in Child and Infant CPR, choking and dealing with an unconscious patient.

Attendees are also given a practical session on how to effectively use an AED to provide life-saving skills.

Ideally suited as an annual refresher for Healthcare professionals (not requiring AILS) in hospitals, schools, clinics, care and nursing homes.

Also great for anyone wanting to know how to save a life should an emergency occur.

This course has been strictly developed and taught in line with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines 2015.

Course Details
The course syllabus includes amongst other topics:
  • Personal Safety
  • Basic Anatomy and Physiology
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) – Children
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) – Infants
  • How do deal with a Choking casualty
  • Unconsciousness and the recovery position
  • Use of an AED
Course Assessment

All candidates will have to complete a multiple-choice test and achieve a pass rate of 75%.

Practical resuscitation skills will be continually assessed during the practical sessions

Course Duration Information

This 3-hour class can be held during the week or on a weekend, scheduled to suit your requirements.

On special request, this course can also be arranged in an evening.
